Photos only from Sunday's 4-2 UMD women's win over Minnesota State University-Mankato, February 10, 2013 at Amsoil Arena. I couldn't attend Saturday's game, which UMD dropped to the Mavericks 2-1. The Bulldogs gave up 2 second period goals, at 15:06 and 18:18, by Kelsie Scott and Lauren Smith, and led by those 2 goals after the second period. Jenna McParland (from Jessica Wong and Brigette Lacquette) scored for the 'Dogs at 12:53, to cut the lead to 2-1, but UMD couldn't find the back of the net again. UMD outshot Mankato 40-25 for Saturday's game, with Kayla Black stopped 23 of 25, and Maverick's goaltender Erin Krichiver stopping 39 of 40 Bulldog shots in what became her first career win in 7 appearances.

The Bulldogs 4-2 win Sunday, ended a 3 game slide, in which they averaged one goal per game. Pernilla Winberg (McParland) opened the scoring at 11:06 of the first period, scoring a shorthanded goal. UMD went down 5 on 3 shorthanded and Mankato answered Winberg's shorthanded goal with a powerplay goal by Kathleen Rogan at 12:37. Brienna Gillanders (Aleksandra Vafina and Emma Stauber) put UMD up again, with her first of two goals, at 7:08 of the second period. Jessica Wong (McParland) padded the lead at 16:35 of the second period, ripping a slap shot from the blue line into the upper corner of the net. Gillanders second goal, at 10:37 of the third period made it a 4-1 game, scoring while falling to her knees and sweeping the puck past Krichiver. Mankato answered just 9 seconds later when Lauren Smith scored an unassisted goal. The Smith goal, making the score 4-2 was the final tally of the game for either team. Kayla Black stopped 22 of 24 shots she faced, while Krichiver stopped 23 of 27.
