The Thunder women's basketball fell to Gogebic CC in the home opener, November 28, 2012, 74-53. Kami Diver (Cloquet) led the women with 24 points, on 9 of 21 shooting, and also completed a double double with 12 rebounds, while also recording 4 blocked shots. Makayleigh Cahoon (Cromwell) also had a double double, with 13 points and 10 rebounds herself. Sammy Johnson (Floodwood) put up 9 points (6 from the free throw line), and had 7 boards. Shauna Goodman (Carlton) had 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.
