The USA U18 NTDP team defeated the UWS Yellowjackets 7-1 at Wessman Arena, January 27, 2013. The U18's were led by Tyler Kelleher's hat trick and assist, and Evan Allen's 2 goals and assist. John Haden scored the other two goals for the U18's, and Mike McCarron added 3 assists. Goaltender Hunter Miska stopped 10 of 11 UWS shots in the game. All three UWS goaltenders played, with Drew Strandberg stopping all 11 shots he faced, Dennis Nordmark stopping 7 of 10, and Ryan Pinoniemi stopping 7 of 11 U18 shots. UWS' lone goal came from Sam Prpich. Duluth Denfeld's Zach Thompson suited up for the U18 team as a backup goaltender, but wasn't needed.
