The Esko boys basketball team defeated Pequot Lakes 60-49 on Parents Night, February 26, 2013. Casey Staniger led all scorers with 31 points, a perfect 3 of 3 for three-pointers and 12 of 14 shooting free throws. Kory Deadrick scored 12 for the Eskomos, and led the team in rebounds with 6 and had 4 steals. Esko led 25-17 at halftime. The Eskomos shot 25 of 37 from the free throw line, drawing 25 free throw attempts while getting into the paint on offense in the second half. Esko was credited with 10 steals, and forced 26 Pequot Lakes turnovers, scoring 23 points off those turnovers.
