The Lumberjack Girls hockey team defeated the Duluth Northern Stars 5-0 at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena (Formerly the CARC) December 1, 2011. Kaitlyn Miller put the 'Jacks up 1-0 at 11:06 of the first period, with assists to Mackenzie Roy and Emily Gustafson. Dalyce Gustafson made it 2-0 at 12:34, assisted by Kelly Carlson and Emily Gustafson.

At 10:50 of the second period Rachel Macaulay made it 3-0, with an assist by Megan nelson. Dalyce Gustafson scored her second goal of the game at 11:28 of the period, assisted by Kelly Carlson and Carley Esse.

Roy made the final score 5-0 with a goal at 10:24 of the third period, with Emily Gustafson picking up her third assist of the night. Alyssa Acheson stopped all 18 shots she faced for the CEC win, while 'Stars goaltender Megan Hansen stopped 21 of 26 in taking the loss.
