The Lumberjacks defeated Silver Bay Area 4-2, on a powerplay goal by Kelly Carlson with 1:37 left in the third period, and an Emily Gustafson empty net goal as time expired. Kaitlyn Miller got the 'Jacks on the board first, at 4:26 of the first period. Callie Halverson made it a 2-0 Lumberjack lead at 1:11 of the 2nd period. The Mariners' Marina Carter scored her first of two unassisted goals, at 5:55 of the 2nd period, then her second at 7:59 of the third period to tie the game at 2. The 'Jacks got a late powerplay, and Kelly Carlson took advantage of the powerplay to put in her own rebound on a scrum in front of Siver Bay goaltender Nikki Mealay for the go-ahead game winner. Mealay stopped 30 of 33 Lumberjack shots, while Alyssa Acheson stopped 20 of 22 Silver Bay shots for the win.
