The Stillwater Ponies (08-09 Class AA State Champs) finished their trip to Duluth and Cloquet with a 5-1 win over the Lumberjacks, Saturday afternoon, November 21, 2009. Savannah Hanson scored the lone CEC goal, with an assist by Courtney Esse. The Jacks were down only 2-1 after two periods, but Stillwater picked up their game after their freshman defenseman Sara Bustad left the ice on a stretcher to a leg injury. Sarah Gustafson played well in the CEC net, but the third period outburst by Stillwater was too much for the team to overcome.
